Good Stuff
- Enjoy Parenting — Inspiring and gentle parenting articles by Scott Noelle, author of the daily groove
- Sandra Dodd's Unschooling Resource — Some really interesting articles about child-directed learning
- Natural Child Project — These articles offer lots of help and inspiration for my parenting
- A Thomas Jefferson Education — Interesting home education model.
- Fertility Awareness — Understand how your body works; learn to tell when you’re fertile. They need to teach this stuff in schools. Your own body should not be a mystery to you.
- Informed Choice in Childbirth — Great articles on pregnancy and birth options
- Hypnobirthing — (It’s not as crazy as it sounds.) Learn to relax and work WITH your body while it does it’s thing. This is the only way a girl with a pain tolerance as low as mine could give birth without drugs.
- Breastfeeding Support — Help with specific problems as well as support groups in your area.
- Washable Diapers — Yes, I use them. (I even make them!) Here are all the hows and whys. (And my recommended shop for diaper sewing supplies.)
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — aka, the Mormons. Here’s a little about my faith.
And these are just some random, fun things on the Internet I like. No heavy reading required. ;)
- Etsy — All things handmade.
- Librivox — Audiobooks in the public domain. That means FREE. For you. To download. (Just watch out for the occasional reader with a heavy accent. If you’re slow like I am.)
- Pandora — Fabulous, commercial free radio. On the internet. You choose the type of music. Did I mention it’s fabulous?
- Wordpress — The fabulous, powerful, and flexible blog-publishing tool that powers this website
- Flickr — Where all my pictures are stored.
